911 EMS response. Paid holidays, sick leave, retirement, access to 401k, medical/ dental insurance. Current shift 24/48 rotation, hours worked over 40/ week paid at OT rate. Salary based on hourly rate plus built in OT hours, additional OT may be available. Beaufort County EMS provides quality medical care for a diverse area experiencing rapid growth and expansion, located between Savannah and Charleston. Units are ALS with staffing of at least one Paramedic and one EMT, QRVs are Paramedic staffed only. Approximately 19,000 calls per year, no routine out of county transport, 12 frontline units, 5 QRVs. In-house Continuing Education Program, orientation with an FTO phase, uniforms including body armor provided, tuition assistance for Paramedic school, RMAT and SWAT opportunities.
